EU Adopts Guidelines for Negotiations on Future Relations

Post by ApusApus »

An article just released on the BBC website:

http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-43509309

Some of the key points:

"The EU's big offer is a close relationship based on a free trade agreement with no tariffs on goods."

"The remaining 27 leaders have also endorsed an agreement reached earlier this week on a 21 month transition period."

"During that period, the UK will be able to negoiate, sign & ratify its own trade deals."

"Northern Ireland issue has yet to be agreed but Donald Tusk was "absolutely sure" a solution would be found."

Looks like common sense is finally prevailing!
