Good morning,
Just bought a car, and would like to have the alloy wheels rubbed down and repainted. Nothing untoward. No damage, just looking a bit tired
Does anyone know a reasonable outfit?
Looked at the Sunshine Radio directory, an contacted one of their recommendations, which came out at €100 per wheel- €400 for the four corners.
Erm..not reasonable I think !!

Re: Refurbishing alloy wheels.....
Hi Trev.
Alloy wheels don't remain pristine all of the time. They do corrode/ bubble from time to time.
Wet and Dry rubbing down and a repainted with a (say) satin or Matt Aluminium type paint is the answer to keeping them looking pristine.
There are alloy wheel refurbishes. It can also be done as a diy task with the appropriate paint

Re: Refurbishing alloy wheels.....
Well I have allow wheels on my car that are 8 year old and they still look good when just cleaned. But as I say, have a word with Costa

Re: Refurbishing alloy wheels.....
My alloy wheels are the same age as the car 16 years and apart from a few dings/dents are in pristine condition. painting them is not required. I have a bottle (spray type) of a liquid alloy wheel cleaner which I use when I wash n wax the car once a week.
All things are possible
Re: Refurbishing alloy wheels.....
Costas will know who refurbishes and paints allow wheels Ian, many are painted even if they do not look like it! pop in and see him, go in the afternoon though his business is heaving in the mornings.

Re: Refurbishing alloy wheels.....
Thanks for the responses everyone.
Spoke with Costas, and got a recommendation.
However....long story short....I've taken the car in to the paint shop next door to Simon Emery's service centre by the time out kiosk.
Very reasonable quote - half the cost of the 'english' company in the Sunshine Radio guide, and they'll do a bit of body work touch up whilst it's in
Result. Thanks all
