Places to eat / drink Payia and around....

Post by The Parkies »

Hi all,
Arriving in Paphos next Friday, its 3 yrs since our last visit, any recommendations on places to eat / drink in and around Payia.
We have a car, and looking for places for dinner really...
On our last visit we went to a restaurant in a type of social club !!! Can't remember the name ?
Another place was in the village on the RHS as you go up the hill...very basic but it was nice ??
Also any takeaways!! Did have a Indian which was nice ( next to a chipi ).
Many thanks guys

The club would be Neo’s - closish to Coral Bay....

At the top of the hill, from Peyia towards Kathikas, there is a restaurant with a fantastic view... called Green something...

In the centre of Peyia, there is Cousins and the Peyia Tavern, plus a newish one called the Old Cinema and another Taverna behind that... all are similar in terms of type of food....

Slightly down the hill, there is the Mediterranean Restaurant and behind the Jail pub, Grande...

Further down into ‘lower Peyia’ there are abut 4 more, before entering Coral Bay....

We visited The Green Hill cafe-lounge bar earlier this week for the first time. Was really impressed with the food and the service.

There is a lovely italian restaurant next to chip shop/RSS Removals, on rhs coming down from Peyia, they also own the Grao de Cafe coffee shop which is excellent.

As you have a car why not venture out to Kathikas where there are at least three good restaurants our favourite is Yiannis where they hold a Greek music & dance evening every Tuesday. Also apposite is Imogens and further round the village Petradaki.

Down on the coast going towards Sea Caves is Yialos a really great view of the sun set and they again hold a Greek music and dance evening on Thursday. Both if these taverns are run by enthusiastic Cypiot owners si is a real family affair.

Further along that road is Oniro which is great for evening drinks and they do a small menu. The sun set is super from this restaurant go early as it's so popular.

In Coral Bay Sala Thai has an excellent menu is more expensive than the taverns but well worth it, next door is La Vigna an Italian again more expensive than the taverns.

Suggest you phone the Greek evening venues to book.

?Yes I believe so. Lovely food, and for lighter snacks, coffee, cake etc there is the coffee shop.
