Evretou Reservoir flooded what must have been a very pretty valley, complete with hillside village. However, in this case, the village had already been abandoned by its Turkish Cypriot inhabitants who fled to the North when Turkey invaded back in 1974. The mosque has been preserved though, thanks to an EU funded project, and now fishermen and goats are the only inhabitants.
