I now realise what is strange about the recent introduction of the mandatory Rapid Tests. During the various lockdowns, you either had to have either a current Rapid Test or your Safe Pass (with your vaccination status) to enter medical establishments or supermarkets and the like. I am fully vaccinated (October 2023) but have to pay for Rapid Tests as well. Is this a case of belt and braces?

I prefer the new status that everyone must produce a negative Covid test result regardless of their vaccination status when going into specified establishments.
There are now so many different categories depending on how many Covid vaccinations an individual has had since the pandemic started.
There is also the case that vaccination does not prevent people from getting or transmitting Covid.
Keep up the hand hygiene and other measures too, for your own safety.
Not just from Covid but other respiratory problems such as coughs, pneumonia, bronchitis, flu etc.
Stay healthy this winter
