New Motorway Update - The Movie

Post by Dominic »

They have been building the first part of the new motorway from Paphos to Polis for over a year now, so we thought it about time we gave you a progress report. The film is in two sections. The first part lasts a minute, and shows you several snippets of the main film. So if you are in a hurry, at least watch the first minute and you will get a summary of the progress. If you have the time though, watch the whole thing, and turn the sound up, as we gave it a nice musical accompanyment.

Very nice drone video, Thank you Dominic. It shows that it is still a long way to completion.

Sure very difficult to film between the tunnel and Stroumpi, as the range of the drone is not endless and there are only limited access tracks to the fields and vineyards, I believe...specially in Winter

The hardest place to get to is the top of Polemi Mountain, at least in a vehicle. The track isn't good at the best of times. In contrast, access at the Kallepeia end is fairly simple. The pylons have access roads which are well maintained, so getting about isn't an issue. There is also a new nature trail with plenty of seating and running water, so a lot of the area is cvisible on foot too. I will blog about that in the next few days.
