Storms

Post by AVO »

A post Dominic made on Facebook about storms made me think of this. Was anyone in Kato on Christmas Day 2019?

We knew this one was brewing on Christmas Eve, but we were snug in the hotel enjoying a big gala dinner. Walked in the following morning, and the area around the Almyra on the Broadwalk was almost knee-deep in seaweed. The shot near the public baths and toilets shows you what the sea was like. Mar Bianco with the sofas was open, but the roadway (one-way towards the harbour in those days) was completely blocked with debris including those cubic paving stones.

Take nothing but photos, leave nothing but footprints, kill nothing but time.

Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit (Max Ehrmann - “Desiderata”)

Talking about storms. Batten down the hatches as there is one brewing and should arrive this evening.
