Lee Child says he will no longer write his world-famous Jack Reacher novels, and will be passing on authorship to his younger brother Andrew Grant.

The 65-year-old writer told fans he was getting too old to keep up the demand for Reacher stories.

He stopped writing his books before Covid, his brother wrote the last two or three, almost a seamless hand over.

Since his brother started co authoring the books, I noticed change and don't enjoy them now. The new tv series however is very entertaining and true to the books. Series 2 out in December.

An avid reader of Jack Reacher novels over many years they are rather predictable.
Casting Tom Cruise in the lead role in the two films further lessened my enthusiasm - I was expecting someone more like Clint Eastwood.

I think Alan Ritchson makes a very good Jack Reacher.



Is Reacher season 2 out?
