There was certainly thunder and heavy rain, here in Polemi. It was quite short-lived and we have managed to do two dog walks

Having a Gas Hob proved it's worth this morning, as when the electricity went off, we just boiled water on the Gas Hob to make the morning coffee. If we had an Electric hob we would have been in for a LOOOOOng wait for the electricity to be restored.

Like you, Lincoln, we have a gas hob. When we had our solar panels installed we were tempted to go all electric. Now glad that we didn't. There have been times in the past when our power cuts have been long. Having the hob meant we could boil a kettle and cook a meal......

I still have an old gas cooker in full working order. It has proved its worth too numerous times to count now throughout electricity outages, Wouldn't be without it.

As well as an electric hob and oven, I also have a dual fuel cooker that has a gas ring. It is handy for power cuts
