It just so happens that I have a jar of stem ginger in syrup at the back of my cupboard, given to me by a neighbour who returned to the UK over 3 years ago. I have no idea how old it is but is still sealed and looks OK! Could this lovely cake be the answer I wonder? I love anything gingery, it goes back to my Mum making ginger beer when I was a child for when we got home from school. Do you think my old stem ginger would be OK to use if not, where might I find it in Pafos?
