It is some years since I have been here over Cyprus Easter.What do the shops,supermarkets,bakeries etc do with regard to closing

They close.

All general shops are closed Easter Sunday and Easter Monday. Banks are also closed on the Tuesday.
Supermarkets such as Papantoniou in the tourist areas eg Kato Paphos, Chloraka, Polis Chrysochou are open on Easter Monday.
At Kings Avenue Mall shops are closed Easter Sunday and Easter Monday but the coffee shops/food area is usually open.
I believe Easter is the one day that bakeries and patisseries are closed.
Small kiosks which have a wide range of products are usually open throughout.
This is from previous years - as the time gets closer people usually start asking about eg Lidl or Philippos!
