New tenders for Paphos marina
Re: New tenders for Paphos marina
Sounds great! But its like a long playing record, how many times in the last 20 years has the talk about this possible marina been mooted? But surely, before tenders are asked for, there should be an accompanying announcement about up grading the Coral Bay Rd to a dual carriageway?
As a resident of Peyia recently remarked in conversation the other day, the Coral Bay Rd is the only road which links Peyia, Coral Bay and beyond to Paphos. At times this road, narrow in places is saturated with ordinary traffic, specially in summer. A new super highway is needed, before a massive project like the marina is considered.

Re: New tenders for Paphos marina
I seem to remember that in previous plans that road would disappear and become part of the Marina with a new road being constructed further in land. If I am correct then there would be no point in doing anything to that road. We have to wait and see what plans the new Tender covers.

Alistair,
Interesting what you wrote about a new road being constructed inland, but was that just along the straight stretch of road which currently runs from the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill, where the Kissonerga and Paphos main road intersect , then to the roundabout outside Coral Bay? I was meaning the whole road should be dual carriageway from the "Aspire School" roundabout. To link up with the existing stretch of ToTK Rd.
