Marmalade

Post by ludlowboy »

Considering that Cyprus produces quadrillions of oranges every year, has anyone found a shop that sells decent local marmalade?

English Marmalade I suspect is more popular among Brits. Maybe an Orange Jam, but local taste likes many things over sweetened. I usually buy imported English Marmalade. There is a short season when Seville Oranges are available in some supermarkets. There are a few Brits who make their own which may be found on a stall in a local market.

I bought some lovely marmalade at the Tala Cats Christmas Fair a few weeks ago. I believe they sold out on the day but it might be worth enquiring at their shop in Kissonerga whether the lady who made it still has any available. It really is yummy, and just the right side of tart, not too sweet!

We like the orange marmalade produced by this Cyprus company but a friend finds it a bit too sweet.
We buy from Alphamega but have seen it in other supermarkets.
