We sent an important letter to our daughter in Sussex last week. We posted at the local post office in Polis on Monday morning (and registered the letter). It arrived on Wednesday morning in East Sussex. To say I was impressed would be something of an understatement …

This was always normal when we dispatched our stamp orders to UK from Cyprus when we lived there.
It's post incoming to Cyprus that appears to go into a black hole for a number of days once it's reached the sorting office at LCA airport.
