We had some decking fitted by Mark Johnson (recommended on CL) in 2014.
We chose the 'synthetic' type that wouldn't rot or need treatment.
Sadly, although the decking survived, all the supporting timbers rotted away.
He promised (several times) to come back and have a look but ........ still waiting!
We've just had it all removed and concreted over and tiled with 'decking style times' which cost us about circa €850 for a 3x5m area

Resin-based bamboo is a good option. Does not rot. It’s a mid-brown veined plank that weathers to become grey/silvery. Guaranteed for many years. Speak to Theo at IDS in Nicosia. PM me if you want his tel number. They do good work.
