Have a look out for these critters which seem to be appearing at the moment?
It's a Case-bearing Moth larva also known as a bagworm. When the females hatch they start to construct a "case" around themselves as they grow & ultimately in which they later pupate. Although the case is for protection, they are actually quite obvious when you know what to look for & where?

Re: Case-bearing Moth
The species found in Cyprus, Pachythelia villosella, is not a problem as the larva feed on heather, grasses, birch & willow, although I don't think much of the latter 2 are found in Cyprus!
However, the species found in the UK, Tinea pellionella, is the one that eats its way through your carpets & clothes!
