want to get an appointment at department of road transport for licence but when I ring only get an answering machine.
Any ideas

You do not need to make an appointment to go to the Department of Transport. You just go there. I was there last week and did not have to wait a great deal of time. All the forms are in Greek. They will take your photograph.
