Reopening of restaurants and taverns ...

Post by MacManiac »

I was wondering whether the reopening of restaurants and taverns was limited to customers requiring a meal, rather than a drink. Or are we in “Scotch Egg” territory? I’m sure the answer must be in the guidelines but I lost the will to live after a few minutes.

Nope, it’s not dependent on having a meal.

It's a bit redundant given today's weather but I imagine the restaurant owners would take a dim view of anybody turning up at peak time just to have a drink.

In some places there is as much profit in a drink as there is in a snack / meal

Resturant profits are mostly with drinks not food.

Thats right WHL i have been told by two restuarant owners both in the UK and here that if say they could not sell drinks they would not survive.
