Where does everyone find out what is on the television?
I really miss the weekly magazine 'What's on TV'.
Fed up with wading through many on-line versions of TV guides which results in the television just sitting there gathering dust and as winter approaches would like to be able to watch a few decent programmes on the odd occasion.

My box from Triotech has listings. With catchup also a precis of the programme.

Yes we also miss Whats on TV magazine but all MAGs systems have TV information and catch up, not hard to use we find, but we do miss that magazine, hopefully it will be back in the shops soon.

I use the Online Whats On TV Guide - it shows you all the same channels as the magazine does (https://www.whatsontv.co.uk/tv-guide)
I look through a few days or a week at a time and then I write down the programmes I want to watch each day so that I know what I can watch live or what I need to watch on catchup because of the 2 hours time difference.
I find this better than using the TV Guides on the Mag or other boxes as that seems to take longer to scan through

Re: UK and other TV Programme Guides - recommendations
Thank you for all the suggestions, not an avid TV viewer as for many years the only choice in English was BBC World News, CNN or Euronews and I had hoped there was a quicker option than trawling through the online guides and the one that comes with my TV package - usually go off the idea after seeing so many programmes that appear to have the same titles as a few years ago, albeit with different presenters. Hopefully the information provided will also benefit other people on the forum. Similar to Galini I have tried to check out the schedule over a 3 week period but rarely get past ITV and there are so many other channels that are more likely to be of interest. Happy viewing folks!
