They may have good residual stocks. They have huge warehouses. Supermarkets in other EU countries are experiencing difficulties importing UK goods.

HIC - Have you been photo shopping? :D - that photo look remarkably like one of those uk freezer shops "UK food or something like that" which were scattered around Paphos for about 18 months, until they went bankrupt. I believe the owner was caught trying to leave the country with a huge unpaid electricity bill. :o

As promised, I will provide an update on the item I ordered on 8th of January from Amazon uk, I chose uk because Amazon de delivery charge was more than the item was worth, it was a gamble, but I took the risk.

The order was posted standard Royal Mail on 10th January, the cost was 24.99 pounds plus 6.50 pounds delivery, Vat was not charged.

I recieved notification on Friday that the item was ready for collection from the General post office, simple process, the product was taken to the customs office, opened and resealed, I then paid VAT at 19%, 6.75€ and tax of 3.5€, 10.25€ in total.

Overall, buying this item saved me 20€ as opposed to Amazon de, so I will selectively continue to us Amazon uk.

This is where using a shipping company like RSS or LHUKCY can be an issue. You will be charged VAT in Britain and in Cyprus. Does anybody know how you can buy something on Amazon UK and have it delivered to a UK address without paying VAT?

As far as I’m aware, you can claim the VAT back in the UK Through HMRC (as you used to be able claim VAT back at the Airport), I’m not 100% sure of the steps.

If you have a registered business here in Cyprus then you can register that on Amazon and not pay any VAT the first instance.
