I disagree, East Coasts record spoke for itself, turning a service that previous private companies failed at, into an award winning enterprise, highly regarded by it's customers. The money it received from the Government was paid back during it's tenure, including millions in profits.
Indeed the Government itself recently announced that the Energy market is not working for the British public, & intends to intervene. Therefore I believe the 'market' is not the panacea that was promised...far from it.
