In Germany you can get cash (I think up to € 200 per shopping) via your debit card at the till of almost any supermarket provided you buy for at least € 10 or € 20 (depending on the supermarket) at no extra cost. They should consider introducing that.

That is not how I read it.. To me it just says that they are an exception to allow you to go out ..

I doubt it. I went into Larnaca this morning through two police controls. I can hardly imagine letting me through without the paper just because I was going for a consultation with my surgeon in the city.

They have that in the UK too. Cashback works well for the retailers because they have less money to worry about themselves.

I know we have used cashback in the UK.. But it must mean that they have to have a very large 'float' of cash in the tills to start with ..

Not really. If they haven't got the money you can't have the cashback.

I would have to agree. This year is a write-off, sadly.

Does anyone know where there's a CY gov website (In English) where it sets out detailed up-to-date restrictions?

The right to a refund may be replaced by the right to get a voucher if the German government can get it´s way at EU level. Those vouchers shall be valid until the end of 2021 and only if you you haven´t used them by then will you be entitle to a refund.

Mike ... I think this is reasonably up to date. It certainly shows that people under 65 cannot use the form and have to use SMS.. I have it saved on my desktop for easy reference

Thanks Trev. I couldn't find what I was looking for! I've read on this Forum about being allowed to walk in the neighbourhood without a permit. If one is over 65 you just write another authorisation, but if you are younger & need to walk the dog (or just exercise) the SMS System will not allow more than one visit out!

If you want to walk the dog, there is no restriction and you do not need a form or an SMS call, provided that you are within an easy radius of home. You can therefore walk your dog as many times in the day as you like provided that it is not within the curfew times.

I was looking for an 'official' government statement, so sorry Devil, but where did you get that information?

''Pet owners can leave their home with their pets without SMS permission or filling in form B provided they stay close by, the Health Ministry clarified on Tuesday. “In such cases, the required evidence will be the pet itself and the reasonable distance from the house of the pet’s guardian,” it said in an official announcement............

............The party said that pet owners can take their pet out for a walk or for their toilet needs without having to send an SMS provided they remain close and around their house. This is not restricted to one time a day, it added. Pet owners must carry their ID with them, the party had said''.

Yeah, like burning down two 5G masts, in the belief these were responsible for spreading the virus

Any why did Covid-19 start in Wuhan? No smoke without fire, this story is chilling: https://news.yahoo.com/trail-leading-ba ... 25888.html
Perhaps now a "respected" member of the community (HIC) has mentioned this aspect of this thing we are all living through, the points I made in another post of might be discussed more sensibly than just poo-pooed as crazy scare mongering
