Our latest addition was the German created Blackforest or Needle Gin being supplied in UK by ALDI - just trying it out now with FeverTree Clementine Tonic and Cinammon.
Very nice indeedy!

Cheers everyone, have a great weekend :-)
Hi photolady

Further to our earlier chat about sloe gin, here is the result of my brew using dried sloes. It's delicious with a lump of ice! I'm now looking for a recipe to use the gin soaked berries.

Cabinet looks great. Enjoy your gin collection X

The Aldi gin, called Oliver Cromwell, costing £9.99 was rated the second best in the UK in a recent test..... It is nice....

Yes, we use the Oliver Cromwell to create our own flavoured gin... Good price and a nice gin too!

That's a nice colour on that Sloe, Aphrodite 😊

We have a homemade Damson in the cupboard, given to us by one of our new found friends since we returned from Cyprus. It's very dark, quite sweet and almost like a fortified wine when you sniff it. I quite like it but hubby is not so keen.

Next on my list will be Cranberry gin. I have some cranberries in the fridge to make a recipe for the turkey with chilli and lime but I have an extra lot (wonder how that happened?) which will be the next gin batch.

Aphrodite, can you use the Sloe slurry as the juice for a fruit pie filling? Or maybe a rich fruit cake? 🍸

I made plum gin this year, after bottling it, I'll make a very Merry Christmas crumble with the plums.

We're going to buy a Juniper bush after the New Year and we shall see where that takes us 😉

Have a Happy New Year everyone, I think we will be having a very merry one 😁
