Is the Press..Especially the BBC determined to Bring the Government Down?

"King Canute" is absolutely spot on Shane.
Actually, it is spelt Cnut. (but don't try typing that after six Special Brews!)

You really must be kicking yourself at your stupidity!!!

My one vote would have made a difference to the outcome?

I would remind Poppy that for the past 12 years I have lived in Cyprus. Cyprus is my home and I have no plans to return to the UK. My daughter and family live in Cyprus and we operate a business here. Whilst I maintain an interest in global events, in UK politics and particularly in EU politics as it effects our family in Cyprus, why should I be interested in voting in a referedum in a country I have not lived in for the past 12 years? Utterly pointless! If the population of the UK wishes to commit hara-kiri, so be it.

Jimgym wrote: Sat Jul 15, 2017 11:15 amLloyd can you offer any proof at all to back up your constant assertions? Any at all? Or do you keep repeating the same tired b.s. in the hope that one day one thing you have said may actually be right? I look forward to something offered by way of proof to back up your claims. Calling something a fact doesn't automatically make it one.

Don't you read UK newspapers or watch UK TV?

And you still want me to spell out what's happening in the UK? :?

You could start by reading my post on the "Let's Have some Good News" thread ;)
No Lloyd, I am not talking about what is happening in the UK. I am asking you to offer proof on your assertions, (constantly on here) regarding Brexit voters. Such as " You're forgetting Josef, many/most Brexiteers took their factfeed from those ultra reliable sources: Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage. What better sources of information could they ask for" I could if bothered find many quotes of a similar vein.

Ha ha so you are now implying that the decision on whether or not the UK left the EU does not impact on you personally at all regardless of the fact that you are a UK citizen in receipt of a UK pension living in and running a business in an EU country.
Or, are you implying that there really are some positives about BREXIT if it is not going to affect any ex pats?
Get real Lloyd, your arguments are getting weaker all the time because of course BREXIT WILL affect you and if you did not have the inclination to vote it appears that you don't care about yours and your familys future.

"My one vote would have made a difference to the outcome ?"

It's a good job we didn't all have that attitude, or no-one would have voted ! If you didn't vote, then as I see it, you have no right to comment on the outcome.

Lloyd

American, Scottish, Zimbabwean, you were not entitled to vote in those elections, but you were in the Brexit vote, you chose NOT to. Stop trying to wriggle your way out of it.

You think my comment arrogant, do you have a mirror to hand, if so take a long hard look at yourself, that's an arrogant person. ;) (said in jest of course).

Apologies Lloyd if I miss-read your post, but I'm not sure that I did. Why qualify the word 'nonsense' ?

Anyway I was joking :D
