Cyprus Covid cats can receive unused human vaccines
Re: Cyprus Covid cats can receive unused human vaccines
A lovely female cat turned up yesterday, crying in pain. Her belly was distended so it was thought she was pregnant. Her back end was red and sore and she had bad diarrhea. She was taken to the vet who said that treatment would take a long time and even then she may not survive. Sadly, she was put down. The vet thought she had cat covid, sometimes called feline infectious peritonitis and highly contagious amongst cats but can't be contracted by humans. Having seen this poor thing in so much pain I'd be happy to see the vaccine used.
