I find it amusing that our ex Military posters chuckle at the Italian disposition in the World Wars when in actual fact they were the only country whose military won conditional surrender during WW2 in Abbyssinia (Ethiopia) due to the bravery and tenacity of their troops.
They also fought ferociously in the Alps as our allies against the Austro Hungarian Empire during WW1 losing thousands of troops.
When they fought for what they believed in they were as brave as the bravest.

There was a post relating to the fighting capabilities of the Italians, or lack of. I thought it was on this thread but can't find it. I was just trying to put the record straight.
