A ring on the doorbell you open the door and a policeman is standing there who then tells you your husband and son have been killed in a road accident and for the rest of our lives my daughter and other family members have to live with the consequences of someone exceeding the speed limit so that he could get where he was going without thought for other road users
In another very recent incident just past the traffic lights at St Georges Chloraka two very dear friends of mine were moving off the lights when a vehicle coming in the opposite direction at great speed and on the wrong side of the road collided with their car causing bad injuries to the husband (driver) and his passenger wife. There was no way to take evasive accident and had they been travelling at normal speed on that road they would have been killed. One only has to see their car (a complete write off) to imagine the impact etc. The husband is still suffering even today from the leg injuries.
I should add In both these instances the drivers had also been drinking but it was the speed which they were travelling which proved fatal in one instance and lasting injury in the other.
I would make this plea please please keep within the limits set for any type of road, they are there for a reason however nonsensical they may seem. If one has a grievance regarding the limits set why not take it up with the authorities concerned. It is not always obvious why certain limits are set for certain roads which do not appear to necessitate them but there are many factors which have to be taken into consideration when setting same.

HIC (Lloyd) if you are perchance reading this I introduced my friends to your recommended contact Charis and he has done splendid work on their behalf when dealing with the powers that be as they were in no fit state to do so themselves - not concluded yet but nearly there.

Like I keep telling my son, It's impossible to get caught speeding when using this so no excuses.

I understand what is meant. However it does need some driver input i.e. once you see a speed limit sign denoting a change of speed limit then switch off cruise control, let your speed drop to the level of the new speed limit and then re-engage cruise control.
