Thank you for asking Rita, yes I am feeling better and look forward to my first trip after Christmas to the countryside ....Rita Sherry wrote: ↑Thu Feb 01, 2018 9:02 am Brilliant as always Max - thank you.
I hope you are feeling better - I most certainly am just a little wobbly on the feet (and not from whisky![]()

Shame on you for suggesting such a thing, Lincoln! As Max states, the time interval between his two shots was 42 minutes. The Moon is racing 'backwards' eastwards in the sky once every 28 days. So even during this short time period, you can already see it waning slightly in the upper right section of his photo #2, when carefully compared.

But once again, BRAVO Max for two beautiful Lunar photos! The next lunar 'event' occurs over the weekend of 24/25th Feb, when the New Moon of 15th Feb will be 10/11 days 'old'.
See if you can grab the awesome 'Jewelled Handle' effect upper left of its disc on your photo late at night. Patrick Moore complimented me on the shot I took that I sent him back in the 80s, as it turned out better than the one he had used in his earlier Moon Phases book, LOL!
