The prices you linked to for the Antelope Park activities, Memory Man- are these in US$ ??

Forgot to mention, the vibrant 'african' background music in your video in itself fills the viewer with joy and happiness (even though you don't understand a word of it, LOL!)

You forgot to tell me how long is the scheduled transit wait @ Doha on the return trip? I might have an interesting idea to run past you...

WOW!

I'm intrigued!

What the " interesting idea " might be!

US dollars are a yes.

When I did a three month contract job in Oman back in the mid 80s, fellow ex-pats on site gave me a useful tip for return flights back to UK. I was BA open ticketed direct from Seeb International (Muscat) to LHR for my return.

I was told that if I went to any travel agent in Muscat with my return BA ticket stub, they would be able to reschedule my homeward journey, at no extra cost, to include a couple of nights in Larnaca én route, tranfers and hotel included! Different airlines, naturally...

If you haven't booked yet, it might be worth considering a one or two night stop off in Doha, by all accounts, either on the way out or the way back? If you have already booked, then the above hot tip might work for you. Even if costs you a few more bob...

Remember that 24ct gold items sold in the Doha souk are priced by weight, not design. Handy investment for the future?

We haven't changed our minds about holiday.

Just read this................

http://www.independent.co.uk/travel/new ... 57461.html

Last para:-
If you have no travel plans yet for the festive season, I promise that an excellent place to wake up on Christmas Day is Christmas Pass in eastern Zimbabwe, en route to a National Park or conservancy on the western bank of the Savé River.
In Zimbabwe, the potential rewards for both host and visitor are vast.

For those awaiting some info on my holiday and pictures of some animals etc.

I'm afraid the holiday had to be cancelled due to me having a suspected heart attack
on Xmas Eve. My cardiologist would NOT allow me to fly until some tests were done.
I had to have an angiogram in Limassol after being in Paphos General for 1 week.
2 blockages were detected, but can be controlled by meds.
At the same time, both my wife and myself have picked up the dreaded flu.

Good news is.........at a minimal cost, flights have been amended, and our accommodation
has been honoured for April.

Just got to get well now.

Sounds like too many bacon sandwiches and rushing about when the bells go down!!!

I have the same problem, and Limassol advised controlling the problem with diet and its worked well, just need stations and asprin.

Missed the topic when it was first posted - I live in Doha since 2016. The airport is OK - very modern, no issue whatsoever. If you want to break-up your journey a bit then Qatar Airways offer loads of transit packages - no visa required. These days (under siege still from the 4 blockading nations close-by) Qatar has opened their country to over 80 nationalities with visa on arrival - good also in the view of the world cup in 5 years time.

April is not a bad time to visit, getting hot already but still bearable. The souq and downtown are worth a one or 2 days stop. More is pushing it in my view. Enjoy the safari!

2hrs is just about the minimum if you are having to change aircraft/airline. You have to hope that your 1st flight arrives on time!
