Of course it is a credit to the town of Paphos. Personally speaking, I never doubted it.

Some people never give the local authority a fair chance, everything is so negative with them.

We notice the changes everytime we return and it is all good.

Really enjoy going around the "old town" . All the new bars, eateries as well as the new shops opening up. A lot of the old workshops are still there. Carpenters, plumbers, tailors, etc still enjoying some good business.

Happy in Cyprus wrote: Sat Dec 29, 2018 4:10 pm Couldn't agree more. Sadly, it is all too easy to knock anything new. The new roundabout at the end of the highway is stunning. And nice thing is, all the surrounding grass areas are being landscaped and planted with trees and shrubs at the same time. Everywhere you look you see Mayor Phedonas' creative ideas; the whole town is being regenerated piece by piece.
Impressive yes, but having something that people will want to look at, hardly a good idea when manoeuvring a vehicle around a roundabout!

Haha Lloyd, there are good drivers & im afraid here, the not so very good drivers! In time the piece of art will become just another thing in the landscape without too much distraction. I had already expressed my view to close friends about the Christmas decorations on the roundabouts. Roundabouts need a driver to pay full attention to the road & not be gawping at snowmen riding & Santa! But hey, we’re in Cyprus where hardly anyone gives a fig about the health and safety of The populous.
