No, they are Cypriot owned and run. But I guess that they will be unhappy at any increased use of these docks by the Russians as they are uncomfortably close to what they refer to as their 'assets' at Akrotiri. It may be just as well that Cyprus does not have a proper 'deep water' harbour. That was the reason why Britain didn't develop it as a base for the Royal Navy earlier in the history of this island. Ie in Colonial times.
But I wonder how all this increased 'co operation' with Russia will sit where relations with NATO and the EU are concerned? Cyprus may be in danger of becomming a Russian satelite state in due course...

So you already knew that its not a deep water port, why raise the question in the first plase?? Im sure they would be unhappy at Russian ships using Limassol port, they cant stop it so it is what it is...Cyprus isnt a member of Nato...where as Turkey is, Turkey has just purchased the Russian missile system S400.... I would address your concerns about becoming a Russian satellite to Turkey?Kili01 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 23, 2017 7:43 pm No, they are Cypriot owned and run. This Russia=Bad, West=Good is what took us into a Cold War and what suits the agenda of the Capitalist US Defence and Attack companies, who need Dollars to fill their coffers on the back of ‘threats’.... Peace will never suit this agenda and sadly, Trump is one of the .1% of Americans owning 90% of the money and power. I deliberately used attack above, as ‘defence’ is normally used for arms companies. Yet, in reality, the US has never been under attack, never had to defend itself, since the Independence War.
