easyJet's decision is a master stroke! Their main operations base will remain at LTN, with no job cuts. This new Austrian company they've set up (once they get the Licence and AOC) will still allow them to take advantage of the EU 'Open Skies' policy, by being able to fly to and from any country in the EU that they please, rather than only UK to EU and back...

In contrast, that arrogant little git O'Leary (owner of Ryanair based at London Stansted STN) has publicly announced that after brexit, he won't be flying out of UK any more! He's painted himself into a corner, there...

Watch how quickly he copies easyJet and creates Ryanair Europe, based in Dublin, and applies for a Licence and AOC, you wait and see...

Ryanair already has all permits and permissions to fly within the EU and has done since Ireland took advantage of the Freedom of the Skies legislation introduced by the EU. Stansted is a hub only as is Paphos. The airline HQ is Dublin . He is threatening to leave Stansted, which will create a huge dent in his profits, and even the twerps in the EU will not ban airlines from flying to and from the UK and the EU.
