Re: Recommendations for Troodos Hotel

Post by Rita Sherry »

I have never visited or stayed at this establishment but looking through the posts it appears there are two who would definitely recommend it, one who went 10 years ago and has no desire to go again and one who commented on friend's experience in 2012 (as Poppy said five years ago). Lincoln on the other hand has been visiting the hotel every year since 2005 and has noticed a huge difference. The establishment is now closing for refurbishment and its just possible there will be further improvements. I feel it is a shame because people's livelihoods are at stake here and the original poster asked for recommendations which found favour with recent visitors as opposed to hear say from others. Perhaps when the hotel has completed its refurbishment the original poster could visit for say a drink or lunch and ascertain what he feels about the establishment then himself. It is possible he might be able to look around at least one of the rooms if the hotel is not too busy. After all we all have different expectations of shops, restaurants, hotels and holidays etc. If one wishes a 5 star hotel then one has to pay for it and I doubt there is such an establishment in the Troodos and I mean no disrespect there.
