I'm with "Staffie" on this....

Meanwhile, perhaps people should look up Dominic Dwyer and see his posts and horrific videos of the way Turkey is disposing of the street dogs and cats.

He has a campaign running to put an end to it, including asking people to blacklist their travel plans.

Bashing dogs over the head and killing them with a shovel by local council workers as well as rounding up cats, shoving them into rubbish bags and dumping them into the rubbish trucks.

Is this the kind of thing that is acceptable when it comes to culling?

And, those cute calendars of kittens sold in the tourist shops so people remember places they've seen whilst in Cyprus?
They will become a thing of the past...

There's always been a neutering program in Cyprus. It needs to be utilised more and people need to stop abandoning animals when they become tired of them as well as the hunters dumping their unwanted dogs on the highway.

I agree something needs to be done but I couldn't see a cat hurt, it would have to be a humane action. I also have a problem with cats,3 of my neighbours have taken to feeding the strays. When I visited Cyprus in September there was cat faeces everywhere I lifted the manhole cover and scooped it all up and put it down the drain, I was gagging and I can't find a way to stop them. I have tried the powder Cat Away, orange skins, etc they help but need to be done every day to work but I still could not bring myself to hurt one, it's not their fault.
Could some form of contraceptive chemical be added to the food these people give them?
