her identity has never been mentioned in the media, just that she is not a Cypriot citizen,
all the other clap trap that has been posted is from the ''I heard it down the pub'' school of facts,
Ive also heard she was a relative of the President, sister of a minister etc etc, take your pick, some of us dont believe every thing we read in the press, some do it seems.

The trouble being of course that after a 6 hr plane journey you could have affected those on the plane with a negative set certificate..

Having flow in from Manchester on Tuesday and then going to the airport on Wednesday to pick up some friends, it is clear that if the passengers don't catch it on the plane they will have a fair chance of catching off the taxi driver !! Standing outside the terminal for half an hour, it was quite clear that the social distancing and mask wearing discipline was very poor amongst the taxi drivers...............We are led to believe that the rules are super strict in Cyprus and the first thing you see when arriving is a group of 10/15 blokes in very close proximity with their masks around their wrists all watched over by a couple of armed guards..........needs sorting !!!

Hope you're right HIC and I accept the point that there is not a wide spread prevalence of the disease but if there is a potential concentration of the virus it is likely yo be around airports and hospitals............better being safe than sorry.

Yes, we are fortunate that levels of the virus are comparatively low here.
BUT as everywhere numbers of cases are rising which is published daily in the paper and on the IN Cyprus website, are showing an upward trend. Yesterday there were 33 new cases, although, the figures given included 14 cases which had been found due to the track and trace system of people who had been in contact with an infected person.

I also feel safe here, but I would not like to become complacent as the cases are definitely rising.
