I wonder if any of the computer stores would do house calls
if you had problems with any of your devices.

I doubt it, considering they would need to take the computer, back to their workshop, where they would need the use of all their technical equipment.memory man wrote: ↑Tue Mar 17, 2020 8:23 am I wonder if any of the computer stores would do house calls

I've just been into town and noticed that a pet shop,
a butcher and a pool shop were open.
Are they allowed to open?

Shops, apart from those specifically described in the edict from government are allowed to trade but must restrict the numbers of customers in the shop at any one time.

I have just spoken to Brian of Computer SOS.
This is the current situation:
They are open and operating on a skeleton staff from 9AM to 1PM. Every day apart from Sunday.
Max 3 people allowed in the shop at one time.
The situation may change, as Brian has heard that Police are closing shops that are open on Mesogi Avenue. But this is how it stands at the moment.
He will call me if this is no longer the case.

Coronavirus: 700 checks, 7 businesses booked for breaking rules
Police carried out more than 700 checks islandwide in the past 24 hours to ensure compliance with new rules closing a large number of establishments and setting limits on the number of people who can be in the place inside at the same time.
A spokesman told the Cyprus News Agency that four of the establishments are in Paphos, one each in Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca.
In Paphos they are a restaurant, a bar-restaurant, car and a coffeeshop. In Nicosia and Limassol toy shops and in Larnaca a beautiy parlour.

Re the " decree closing all private businesses allowing only pharmacies and supermarkets and small shops to remain open. "
I don't know if the list of premises allowed to open has been extended, but certainly not all private businesses are not closed.. And they are nothing to do with supplying food or baked products ..
So maybe the list has been altered..

Poor Brian was very frustrated. Nobody seemed to know what the situation was. However, I haven't heard back from him so will assume that all is still well.
