Ferrari crashed their second car in final practice just as the 2 Mercedes cars were catching Leclerc to oust him from Pole. As usual, the Steards did nothing as it was Ferrarri. Cheats.

Wolff: Leclerc penalty would have caused 'riots'

Mercedes principal Toto Wolff believes giving Charles Leclerc a penalty at Monza for his defence against Lewis Hamilton would have caused "riots".

Great race and a well deserved win for LeClerc.

After Lewis made the error on the chicane and gave the second place to Bottas, I thought Mercedes would have brought him straight in for soft Tyres to give him a chance of the win instead of waiting until 3 laps to go to give him the fastest lap?

Both Mercedes cars had just not the power to overtake the Ferrari in the last laps, even with better Tyres, Bottas could not do it in the final 4 laps...and gave up after his driving error. Hamilton asked several times on the radio to give him more power...

I agree, it was a super win for Leclerc and I was on the edge of the seat watching - but what about Vettel - beaten again by his teammate and errors in the race. Will Vettel retire at the end of the year?

They had the power in final practice and were scheduled to beat Leclercs time to get a Mercedes 1 - 2.
