Kannaviou Countryside

Post by Dominic »

You could be forgiven for thinking that the Ezousa Valley runs from the sea to Episkopi Village. But it continues below Letymbou all the way up to Kannaviou. And guess what? It's just as lovely up there.

Both horses looked well to me, actually quite fat due to the exceptionally lush grass that the land is carpeted with this spring! Ideal conditions for when the foal is born. Which by her look should be quite soon... Lovely photos again, Dominic.Thanks.

They were interesting to me as I was there as a passenger in a friends 4x4 last Oct/Nov. The current photos show a complete change from the burnt browns and ochres of last autumn to the bright shades of spring green. When we were there we drove around most parts of the reservoir on tracks, then the dam was almost empty, just a muddy puddle at the bottom. What a welcome change to see it full again!!
