Wall panel heaters

Post by Suetal »

Hi
I’m coming over in two weeks time and need to get some form of heating into the apartment.
Can anyone recommend any retailer that I could get wall mounted panel heaters from?
Thanks in advance

I suggest modern aircons. To obtain the same amount of heat you will consume only between one-third to one-quarter of the electricity you would need with panel heaters (or any other form of direct electric heating). Modern aircon units are very quiet in their lowest settings, which are sufficient to maintain a constant temperature. This is what we use in the tween seasons, when the weather turns suddenly chilly but the gas CH is switched off, and also in my office in winter, as it does not have CH.

BTW, get the advice for the model of aircon (or any other heating) from a heating expert, as you cannot guess the heat losses from Cypriot houses (totally different than elsewhere because of poor housing construction and the quirky winter weather here).

We tried one of the ceramic wall heaters and found it next to useless, it got hot but there was next to no heat coming off it into the room.
Take a look at a free standing convector air heater.
We have one for when it is cold in the bedroom just to warm things up.
something like this will do https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Portable-Ele ... :rk:9:pf:0

Often the supermarkets have good prices on these types of convection heaters. Look in larger Papantoniou stores

We use a calor gas fire for direct heat and our aircon units, for, as Devil said, they are extremely economical on the heat setting.
