Pound goes furthest in Paphos for winter break
Holidaymakers wanting to begin 2019 with a bargain winter sun trip should head to Cyprus, according to research.
The city of Paphos has the lowest cost out of 12 popular destinations for a one-week holiday at the beginning of January plus meals and drinks, Post Office Travel Money analysis found.
The total bill of £382 per person is at least 17 per cent lower than the next cheapest locations, Spanish islands Lanzarote (£462) and Tenerife (£469).
Spokesman Andrew Brown said: “Sterling’s continuing volatility means it is more vital than ever for holidaymakers to be aware just how much the cost can escalate once the cost of meals and drinks is added.”

The cost of meals and drinks seems to have stayed the same in the Paphos area at many many places.
You can still get a good 3 course meal for €10 at some places..
