We went through there a couple of weeks ago (from north to south), very easy especially if you have google maps or Waze or Maps me on a smartphone. From the beach at Famagusta near the wrecked hotels. Follow the road out and there’s a big roundabout with a statue on it, bear left and take first exit and just keep going straight on. If you’re doing the journey in the reverse direction, not sure of the exit but we ended up join in the motorway a few miles east of Larnaca, near Pyla perhaps? Just put ‘Famagusta border crossing into google maps.

I'm guessing that Chaddy maybe is looking for directions from Pafos.

Is that right?

If so, exit A3 Highway signposted Xylofagou. There's a by-pass around the town & follow the E303 all the way to the crossing (NOT Border!)

E303 - remember now, that's the road we came back on.

According to the UN its an illegal self proclaimed state, recognized only by the invading country, just because they want to see your passport dosnt make it a legal border.

Dont go as far as Xylofagou its longer, turn off at the Dhekelia/Achna turning junction 61 its a ten to fifteen minute drive ..straight on to the Ay Nik crossing.

Legal or not, it is still there and you have to give it recognition... It is a dividing line, and you need a passport to cross that border

According to the UN... EU.. and every other World Body, its not a border, .. if they don't give it Recognition, then why are you asking me and others to recognise it?

I do this trip a couple of times a month, turn off at Dhekelia junction 61, then its less then fifteen minutes to the crossing... you need another ten min to get to Xylofagou the turn off.

Some say it’s a border. Some say not.
Fact is: you need your passport, and you”l need to take out their insurance cover to be allowed in.

I’m assuming that you’ll have your car registration document in the glove compartment. Hand this to the lady in the ‘hut’ . It contains all the information they need to issue a cove4 note.

You don’t say how long the visit is. Las time I went, I paid €25 for 3 days. It was the same price for a month also.

I’ve haVe had a sleep since then, but I think I recall roadsigns to Famagusta ‘ inside’ the South after Ayia Napa

Have @ good trip
