Bug Help

Can anyone identify this bug please, there are quite a few on my oleander? Is it going to cause a problem, if so what do I need to do to alleviate it? As you can tell, I’m still learning! Sorry the photo of the bug isn’t sharper. As first I thought they were ladybirds

Think its a fire bug Pyrrhocoris apterus also found in the UK.

Think its a fire bug Pyrrhocoris apterus also found in the UK.

Think this one is the similar looking Caenocoris nerii, family Lygaeidae, seed bugs.

Lives solely on oleander and can sometimes form very large groups.
Don't know if it is harmful or not. It's a very common bug, and I can't say I've ever seen oleanders with insect damage so would think it's harmless.
Perhaps best ask at a garden centre.

There are several species of red & black Hemiptera in Cyprus but as Spock has pointed out this one is Caenocoris nerii. I don't think it is particularly harmful, my Oleander doesn't seem to suffer and it's not the only bug that feeds on it!

We tend to get lots (100s) of them in one particular spot in our garden each spring. We just let them get on with it, as they have never been a nuisance.
