Changing Banks

For several reasons we are thinking of changing Banks from Bank of Cyprus. I have looked at various website and would like to hear any personal experience - good or bad - concerning any of the others. I am leaning towards Astro Bank [ formerly Pireaus ] although there are only two Branches in Paphos and none in Polis. Since this is a major step as much info as possible would be appreciated.

Hi Alastair..been with Hellenic for years, no complaints at all. Their on line banking services are excellent .
Help line is very efficient....D

I am with Astro (ex Piraeus) bank since 9 years and have no complaints. At the Branch next to Kolios Butchery it takes me minutes to deposit cheques, unlike BOC where I had always to queue up, does not matter which Branch. As far as I know it is owned or mainly owned by Libanese investors....
If you want to open an account I would recommend Mrs Marianna Theocharidou (Customer Service Officer) at Ellados Ave. phone 26 205 417. You can mention my name if you like as she knows me since 9 years. She speaks excellent English and is very friendly...(actually she runs this Branch)

I have always found the staff at the Hellenic Bank in Polis to be very helpful and extremely pleasant.
