Dominic you ask, how do you know the cats eat the food we put out, I watch them Dom, I cannot stand by and watch any animal suffer, too many stray cats, too many stray dogs, Cyprus is not known for animal welfare, thank goodness that many ex-pats put many hours of their lives into helping these creatures, nevertheless Cypriot Authorities should do something about this eternal problem on Cyprus, they should not as they do now rely on ex-pats from many different countries, it is a blight of Cyprus.

Dom it looks like you are unaware of the cats that are nurtured, they have a "V" cut into the top of their ear as ours indeed do!!!.

Exactly, the colonies are not endless, I know all the cats, and if a new one appears, as soon as I can catch it, it goes to Paphiakos. :-)

We had this problem in our garden in the UK, found that orange peel did the trick.

Thanks for the tip...I can confirm that Quartered Oranges DO work!!
Tom cat no longer uses the access steps that the oranges were put on, we can only hear him in the distance..
