Sunday evening temperatures, just after midnight:

But, no central heating on overnight and we're still under the summer duvet with a lightweight throw over the top. Looks like we're becoming acclimatised again

Yesterday lunchtime we took my camera for a wee trip to the ferry jetty to have a peep across the fells behind the coastal path and over to Morecambe Bay.
When we got up in the morning, my phone app told me it was -5 degrees Celsius but the "real feel" was -10. However, the saving grace was it was a very sunny day with hardly a breath of wind. We headed off to Blackpool afterwards for a mooch around the shops searching for some outdoor lights for the big fir tree in the front garden. It was a lovely day there, one of those when no breeze is a definite plus point and the added bonus - the shops were devoid of tourists

This morning, not so much sun and feeling much, much colder for it. But we've managed to get the lights on the outside tree and tomorrow the weatherproof box with a 4 gang socket extension will arrive, courtesy of Amazon so we should be good to go by the evening.
