Rather than go into Blackpool, we've discovered it's much easier to get on at a stop a little closer to our home and it's much prettier too!
Poulton le Fylde railway station
This photo was taken with my mobile phone (a Nokia Lumia 630) through the train window as we were pulling away from the platform in June 2015. It's a very well kept station

The station is just 7 minutes by train into Blackpool from here and more often than not, the first station the trains call at leaving Blackpool for all of our journeys. We will be making our way here soon enough for our forthcoming rail trip to Liverpool for our flight onwards to Jersey.
