Finally found the proposed widened new road (B20?) up from Coral Bay right turn to Pegia stadium on Bing maps (waaaay superior to Google maps, I must say...)

Crikey! That first twisty bit, where it crosses the Xerros Katarratkis river gorge over a bridge presents a bit of an engineering feat, does it not? Nice walk down from Pegia in this river bed, please try it one day!

But to widen the road in this area, along with pavements either side, is surely going to mean a complete new bridge? How the hell are they going to do that, without shutting this stretch of road down for a few months?

My bet: A diversion down Sea Caves road towards Agios Georgios, then a right by the Palaces and up into Pegia that way?

Cheers- AL :?

Al, not sure if you have noticed, but in the Bing pictorial view you can sing the picture around in 90 degree sections..

Why would I want to do that please, Trev?

And if I was in my office, singing at Bing Maps, and my daughter happened to walk in to hang some washing on the clothes horse in here, she would think that I've finally succumbed to all reality in life, LOL!

Cheers- AL :o

ps: Off topic- terrific thunderstorms in Luton this evening. Loads of ball lightning, rolling thunder, no wind, no hailstones. Smashing to watch, though...

You don't have to do it, I was merely pointing out an option..

They APPEAR to have installed 2 very large bore pipes and have started 'filling in' over the top of them with large stones so MAYBE no bridge, maybe just build it up and tarmac over it (the cheap option)
