Touchpad problems

Post by holitec »

Hi,

I have an asus laptop with windows 10, does anyone know how to stop the cursor going ballistic when touching the left/right buttons, it was ok until last week, but driving me crazy! - I have tried google, but none of the replys seem to stop this! May have to dump Windows and put ubuntu on, but defore I do this has anyone else had this problem and have a solution?

Well tried everything, except changing to Apple!

The lapton was delivered with windows 8, but was upgraded to windowz 10 straight away, so never used win 8, which I did not like anyway.

I even let Ian use the laptop today, and it was driving him mad as well!
As soon as you pressed the left click, the cursor shoots across to somewhere else and selects something you do not want like bloody Cortana!

The problem seems to be the click buttons are sensitive to finger movements, I think I will backup my files and load with a decent op system instead.

My Asus X555L has 'ASUS Smart Gesture' installed which has the option to disable the touchpad when you plug in an external mouse.
