Greetings Cards

Post by Dominic »

Where is a good place to buy birthday cards etc? I tried Public but their selection was pretty small.

Partymania have a good, but not cheap, selection. They are towards the bottom of the Lidl road on the left-hand side.
Or you could buy online much cheaper via Moonpig, who provide an excellent direct delivery service to your chosen recipient.

There's a really good card shop in Chlorakas on the main road.I can't remember the name but it's next to Papantoniou bakery. They have a good selection of cards at very reasonable prices.

The card shop next to Papantoniou bakery on the main road mentioned is opposite the re-located Cyprus Samaritans Charity shop. Pop in and browse whilst you are buying your cards. Come in and visit our lovely, fresh new charity shop. We are looking for volunteers for this shop too. If you have a couple of hours that you could assist each week, please pop in and speak with the volunteers on duty. Look forward to seeing you

We too would recommend the one on the way into Chloraka, good choice, good price.

Louise, Lidl road is the one with that store on it next to 'Polis road' .

Better to describe it as the road that runs up to Lidl (at the top end) from the Time Out kiosk (at the lower end) but the card shop is not all that far up from the kiosk on the right hand side.
Any particular branch of Lidl?? ;)

Thanks Austin7, I thought (mistakenly) that most people would recognise the Lidl road.
If you want the Greek names, Partymania is at 22, Neapoleos. That's the bit that runs up from the Time Out kiosk. The road then changes name halfway along to Alexandrou Ipsilanti, which is the top bit with the Lidl store on the corner.
Confusing eh?

Cypriots often use terms like "Butcher Boy Road", and "Debenhams Roundabout". Well the ones we have dealt with do anyway.

Thank you for the card suggestions.

If anybody wants to know where some of these landmarks are, look no further than the Paphos Life directory.

https://www.paphoslife.com/directory/essential

The above link shows you a map and useful knowledge for newcomers. it lists most of the government buildings etc, but it also lists useful landmarks, like Lidl and Butcher Boy.

I have just added a new category, Family Fun, but I will promote that in a separate thread.

There is more to this site than just a forum!

Be Inspired is a card shop at the bottom of "Russian Road". Ok, I know it's not the road's real name.

It's just up from Elpis Hospital.
