Income Tax

Post by Alys »

I know it's a bit early yet but does anybody have any information as to what the tax arrangements are going to be from this year? You can still log on to Taxisnet but not the Taxportal. I know plans were to put everything on the new Taxforall system but we still ended up doing the 2023 returns on Taxisnet. With no access to the Taxportal, it now seems like you have to register on Taxforall to view/make payments.

Noticed today that you can log on to both Taxisnet and the Taxportal. Taxportal must have been down when I tried to log on 16 January. Taxforall website doesn't give any notification as to 2025 Income Tax but I see that the 'Account Activation Instructions" only refer to VAT.

Just seen that the 2024 return form is now on Taxisnet. Guess that answers my own question!!!

Does it say whether or not you need to fill in if your income is below the tax free allowance?

If you don't register for tax here, how can the tax authorities know whether you have a taxable income or not ??

Polly, trevnhil is right. It's better to register and submit returns, regardless of what your income may be.

I am registered here and used to go through the agonising process of filling in tax form until I was told I didn't need to. Will check myself thanks.

I received my notification in June.
Its in both Greek and English, it states
"Obligation to submit a Tax Return have individuals whose Total Gross Income for the Tax Year 2024 is more than €19.500"
I tried opening it with my TiC number but i have forgotten the password, there is no way of knowing if I can recover or change it.

Sheer Khan & Uncle D, whenever i've had difficulties, I've contacted the Cyprus Tax Head Office in Nicosia. Their website shows their contact email address as [email protected]. They've always replied pretty quickly with help.

Thanks, but the link doesn't seem to work.
I took the full stop off at the end, but the site was unreachable.

Hi Uncl D. Apologies, the fullstop at the end was my mistake. If you go to the Homepage on the Cyprus Tax Office website, at the bottom of the page there is "Contact'. Click on that and it goes to another page. The email address is there. Click on that and it will open an Outlook email draft message page automatically.
